About

About Me

Hello! I'm Jennifer Tammeling.
I hold a bachelor's degree from Gordon College (Elementary Education and Psychology).
Through tutoring, as well as homeschooling my own five children, I have gained extensive experience in teaching. Throughout the past 17 years, I’ve taught at various homeschool co-op groups; now that my children are mostly grown, I have decided to embark on the adventure of starting my own private tutoring business.

I tutor from Pre-K through 9th grade (Algebra 1) in Math and Language Arts (including spelling, reading, writing, grammar, and penmanship).

Some of my experiences include helping individuals with Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Along with academic skills, I also provide tutoring for social/emotional skills.

* Note: I do not have any official certificates or degrees in Special Education. My skills mostly come from my experiences and self-study.

I might look at samples of their work, photos, artwork, etc. They might choose to show me what they have been building, or what they have been reading.

If the student is uncommunicative, I can also just have a conversation with a parent.

I work with students of all abilities!

In approximately 5 business days or less, I will send a letter via e-mail in pdf format.

The parent is responsible to send this letter to their superintendent no later than August 1st.

additional 30 min.
